These sessions are cosy, slow and baby-led. This means that there's no time frame and no forcing your baby into poses. We go with the flow, giving baby time to feed, settle and sleep.
I photograph a mix of family portraits, documentary-style shots and close-up details of your baby. You'll be left with a beautiful gallery of timeless, intimate images that capture your family as you are.

What age is best?
1-2 weeks old is best for newborn photos. Or skip the newborn stage and go for 3+ months!
What if my baby is unsettled and not having a good day?
This happens and it's totally okay! Patience is key. I don't rush these sessions - I don't schedule more than one newborn session per day for this reason. Things don't go by the book but that's what makes these sessions special. Whether your baby is asleep or awake (or ideally a combination of both!) the photos will be beautiful and a precious reminder of this time!
What time of day do you shoot?
Newborn sessions usually take place in the morning, around 11am. However if the light in your home is better in the afternoon, please let me know and we'll schedule it accordingly!
My home isn't suitable for photos - can we shoot somewhere else?
Of course! Outdoor newborn shoots in the early morning or sunset can be beautiful. Just make sure baby is really rugged up. Alternatively we can hire a studio (for an extra fee).
Can siblings and pets be involved?
100%. Fur-siblings are always a highlight for me (your dog and I will be best friends by the end of the day).
