Motherhood on 35mm Film | Canberra Film Photographer

Give me a roll of film, a coffee and a croissant and I’m one happy photographer! Homely sessions on 35mm film have quickly become my favourite type of photoshoot.

I spent the morning with Catherine and little Andie, shooting a roll of Portra 800 on my Canon AE-1 in their south Canberra home. I love how slowly I have to shoot on this camera – a dodgy light meter and manual focus means that each frame takes time to set up: 36 intentional shots.

I love the delayed gratification of shooting on film. And I’m so pleased with how these turned out! So intimate and timeless.
